Susan E. Salazar

Susan E. Salazar is a member of the firm with a broad range of proven experience as a labor and employment attorney and mediator. While she represents clients in Federal and State court, Susan's commitment to her clients extends well beyond the courtroom. She takes a proactive approach to protecting her clients' interests, from providing counsel in investigating complaints, to drafting employment policy manuals, to conducting company-wide training on discrimination, harassment, wage and hour and sick and vacation leave issues.

In addition to her law practice, Susan was formerly an adjunct professor at CUNY Law School, coaches students in Brooklyn Law School's mediation clinic and, from 2015 to 2018, served on the United States District Court Southern District of New York Mediator Advisory Committee. As a member of the New York mediation community, Susan mediates wage and hour, employment discrimination, breach of contract and other cases for the federal court in the Southern District of New York. She has also served as a mediator for the New York Peace Institute in New York City Civil Court.

Susan's law practice includes representing employers and employees in discrimination, harassment, wage claims, worker misclassification, disability, breach of contract, arbitrations, mediations, unemployment insurance and other employment related matters.

Susan also has experience in representing employers who are being investigated or audited by Federal, State and City Agencies such as the United States and New York State Department of Labor, the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs, the EEOC, New York State Division of Human Rights, New York City Commission on Human Rights, and the National Labor Relations Board.
