Jacob Korder Of Counsel Jacob Korder

Jacob S. Korder

Jacob represents employees and employers in a wide range of labor and employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, employment contracts and severance agreements, employee misclassification, unemployment insurance, and labor relations. He has represented clients in litigation in federal and New York State courts, administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and New York State Division of Human Rights, hearings and appeals before the New York State Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board, labor arbitration hearings, settlement negotiations, and mediations.

When disputes arise, Jacob uses his experience in litigation, administrative proceedings, arbitration, and negotiation to search for creative solutions and achieve his clients' goals as efficiently as possible, minimizing the risks and costs of formal proceedings.

Before joining Raff & Becker, LLP as Of Counsel, Jacob was an associate at a plaintiff-side employment law firm and then founded a solo practice.

Jacob graduated from New York Law School, where he was President of the Labor and Employment Law Society and Senior Editor of the Dispute Resolution Team. During law school, he also served as President of both the board of directors and the New York Law School chapter of the Unemployment Action Center and was awarded a Peggy Browning Fund Fellowship.
