Susan E. Salazar

Susan E. Salazar has a broad range of proven experience as a labor and employment attorney and mediator. The scope of Susan's experience includes representing employers and employees in discrimination, harassment, wage claims, worker misclassification, sexual harassment, disability, breach of contract, arbitrations, mediations, unemployment insurance and other employment related matters.

Susan has experience in representing employers who are being investigated or audited by Federal, State and City Agencies such as the United States and New York State Department of Labor, the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs, the EEOC, New York State Division of Human Rights, New York City Commission on Human Rights, and the National Labor Relations Board.

While she represents clients in Federal and State court, Susan's commitment to her clients extends well beyond the courtroom. She takes a proactive approach to protecting her clients' interests, from providing counsel in investigating complaints, to drafting employment policy manuals, to conducting company-wide training on discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, sick and vacation leave issues.

Susan is an active member of the New York mediation community. She has been honored with selection to the United States District Court Southern District of New York ("SDNY") Mediator Advisory Committee, which provides recommendations to the Court in best practices and program development in areas such as mediator assessment, training, referrals and diversity.

Susan mediates wage and hour, employment discrimination, breach of contract and other cases for the SDNY and has served as a mediator for the New York Peace Institute in New York City Civil Court.

Susan also serves as an arbitrator and mediator for the New York State Part 137 Fee Dispute Resolution Program.
